Join us on Thursday 20 August 11am - 12pm for our webinar with Ziena Jalil. . Ziena works across the public, private and NGO sectors, in governance and strategy, marketing and business development, and communications and stakeholder engagement. 

We will be discussing Brand NZ in the context of the global pandemic, including how organisations can leverage Brand NZ to shine on a global stage. We are in a unique position to make strategic decisions, and Ziena will discuss lessons learned from her career in marketing and promoting Brand NZ internationally.

She is a keynote speaker, facilitator, MC and commentator on topics as diverse as economic development, international and vocational education, Asia business, leadership, diversity and inclusion, crisis management, nation branding, and politics  She is also the co-founder of myyodaa, a mobile app that connects yoga and meditation students and teachers around the globe, via personalised, live, one-to-one video sessions.

Ziena has received several international awards for her work promoting New Zealand trade, investment and education in Asia, where she was based for 10 years. She’s helped some of New Zealand’s largest businesses build their reputation and revenue, advised Ministers, and worked at the grassroots supporting the growth of Māori and Pacific young people in professional careers. As a Kiwi Fiji Indian woman, Ziena identifies as much with Asia as she does with the Pacific. A finalist in the global category of the New Zealand Women of Influence awards, she loves problem solving, and connecting people with their purpose.

Ziena is also a Global Women member and sits on the Boards of ATEED, Manukau Institute of Technology, Unitec and the Cancer Society Auckland Northland.
