KELSEY BEVAN

Kelsey is from Counties Manukau and first rowed for NZ in 2009. Kelsey went through the age groups and in 2012 won gold in the women’s under 23 pair. In 2014 she won her first elite world title in the women’s four and set a worlds best time. Following this was a member of the elite women’s eight that qualified for Rio (first time a NZ women’s eight has qualified for the Olympic Games) and came 4th at the Games. Since then, Kelsey has been a member of the women’s eight and in 2019 won gold at the world championship which was the first time NZ has ever won this event.

GRACE PRENDERGAST

Grace grew up in Christchurch and made the Junior NZ rowing team in 2010 and won gold in the women’s four. After that Grace spent a few years rowing for age group teams and in 2014 won gold in the women’s under 23 pair and elite women’s four. She was also a part of the women’s eight that qualified and raced in Rio. After the Olympics, Grace had been in the women’s pair and won gold in 2017, silver in 2018 and in 2019 she doubled up and raced both the pair and eight and won gold in both (first time someone has won gold in two events).
